Winter Constructions is a family run building company owned and operated in Melbourne by brothers Peter and Justin Winter.

Passionate about design, quality and building lasting relationships with clients, designers and subcontractors, Winter Constructions specialise in the construction and renovation of bespoke architectural homes.

In operation since 1996 as Peter Winter Constructions, in 2017 the brothers joined their combined 44 years of construction and project management experience in domestic and commercial building, both locally and internationally, to form Winter Constructions.

Their hands on approach, with Peter on-site and Justin as dedicated project manager, is what sets them apart from many builders of similar size. They also operate with an ethos of undertaking a limited number of projects at any one time, which allows them to focus on ensuring that quality, cost and programmes are maintained throughout the build.

PETER WINTER

DIRECTOR & SITE MANAGER

Peter began his trade as an apprentice carpenter 32 years ago and upon qualifying he commenced operating as a house framing subcontractor. In 1996 he established his building company Peter Winter Constructions, and over the last 21 years he has completed numerous projects across Melbourne.

Peter continues to do a large amount of building works himself with the help of a small carpentry team and a select group of subcontractors. His experience and hands on approach on site has been a critical element of his success.

Peter gives back to the industry by taking on apprentices and also sits on the Regional Technical Committee of the HIA.

JUSTIN WINTER

DIRECTOR & PROJECT MANAGER

Justin was initiated into the construction industry through his older brother Peter, helping out on weekends and school holidays. While completing a Bachelors Degree in Commerce from Deakin University, he continued working in the construction industry by taking on a role in the office of a commercial carpentry company.

After completing his studies, Justin moved to the UK where he began work for a large contractor as a Quantity Surveyor, completing many projects across London. In 2010 he returned home and took on roles as a Contracts Administrator and then Contracts Manager for two of the largest commercial construction companies in Australia, working in both Melbourne and Sydney.
